(PLEASE SEE BOLDED TERMS OF SALE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE): We are able to offer a limited number of precision oscillator retrofit kits for the 859xE spectrum analyzers, including the 8591E, 8594E, 8593E, 8596E, and others in this family having the standard oscillator.
The retrofit kit was created from new and used Agilent / hp parts. The oscillators came available from a number of telecom related late model $50,000 Agilent service units that were recently parted out. During research to upgrade my newly purchased used/surplus 8594E, I realized that certain models of these telecom service monitors have exactly the same oven oscillator as the 859xE option 004, the optional precision reference oscillator (albeit with a different wiring harness, connector, and very different mounting hardware).
All hardware, including, screws, nuts, the aluminum bracket, connecting wires, and connector with gold plated connector jacks, were recently purchased new from Agilent as genuine 859xE parts.
All of our oscillators are tested for several hours, output signal amplitude, and calibrated to within a part in 10 to the 8 (10^-8) of our two in house GPS standards.
After installing our upgrade / retrofit kit, your 859xE SA will show OPT 004 installed and the phrase "oven cold" for 5 minutes after power on.
